  • Have your child weighed every month at the AWC. Make sure that the AWW plots the weight on the growth chart in front of you and explains what it means for your child.

  • If your child is growing s/he is healthy and if the child is not gaining weight, she/he is unwell and needs to see a health care provider for a check-up.

  • If your child is underweight it is important that you examine the child's diet and seek advice from a health worker on proper nutrition in accordance with the child's age.

  • The most accurate measure of growth for a child is weight gain.
