Children who tire easily, are slow in understanding or fall sick frequently are victims of malnutrition.

The purpose of this video is to create awareness about the symptoms and alarming consequences of malnutrition. It addresses the importance of balanced nutrition and health.

It is intended for the community at large.

Malnutrition in children and women remains as one of the greatest challenges in India. Malnutrition remains a major threat to the survival, growth and development of children. The Story:

A small boy is sitting sadly holding a cricket bat while his father is shaving. Seeing his son looking so dejected he asks him "What happened, is the match over?" The boy replies that he did not play and when the father comes over to him and asks him "What's wrong my Dhoni?" and teasingly puts some of his leather foam on his cheek.

The boy runs away from his father crying that he is not Dhoni. The father is very concerned and asks him what happened. The boy tearfully replies that when he runs he gets very tired and breathless and nobody wants to play with him, they always make him an umpire.

Children who tire easily, are slow in understanding or fall sick frequently are victims of malnutrition.

Malnutrition is lack of right nutrition. A child is specially most prone to the dangers of malnutrition from the time of its conception till two years of its age which is very important period for the overall growth. Today, nearly every second child in India is a victim of malnutrition. It means they are physically and mentally weak due to which they are targets to many ailments, deformities, disabilities and allergies affecting normal growth mentally and physically. So we should jointly wage a war against malnutrition.
